“Successful Application to the U.N and other INGOs and NGOs”

Virtual training for 40 male and female volunteer members

On Friday, 7 April 2023, EPTDO – EVN Organization conducted an online training for 40 male and female volunteer members. The objective of this training was to address the most vulnerable sector of the Afghanistan population: those who spent their time achieving higher education in difficult times and then played a critical role in the development of the country but after 2021 they lost their jobs, ambitions, hopes and dreams. In the current unprecedented situation most of the Afghan educated people are not familiar with finding new employment opportunities in order to gain some incomes and fit their children. After devastating restrictions on women to be employed with NGOs, most of the Afghan educated and experienced women lost their jobs which resulted in them facing extreme poverty. Although most of them are seeking for new jobs, due to lack of opportunities, skills and miss use of correct sources they are unable to submit correct applications and get positive responses from the employers. These circumstances led of the Afghan young men and women to become demotivated and hopeless.

EPTDO-EVN is a national level organization in Afghanistan focusing extensively on climate change, capacity building and women inclusion programs. This organization is conducting free short and long term courses and capacity building programs for Afghan society particularly women to increase their basic skills and motivate them to stay committed. In this regard, on 7th April 2023, EPTDO-EVN conducted online training for 40 male and female volunteers to educate them about how to apply for the U.N jobs, how to submit successful applications, and the correct sources for finding jobs. The participants also received training about submitting applications for different national and international organizations in Afghanistan.

In the last part of the training, participants learned about Ecocide, what is ecocide? What we want to learn about including ecocide in the International Criminal Court [ICC].
