Founder and Director General

Abdulhadi Achakzai is founder and Director General for the Environmental Protection, Training and Development Organization (EPTDO) and Environmental Volunteer Network (EVN). Mr. Achakzai is an environmental activist who has been working in the environmental sector for years. His responsibility in the EPTDO/ EVN is to lead program management, projects, control budget and finance, create short and long term policies and strategies, develop concepts and proposals, human resource management and decision making. At the same time, he leads all EVN committees and provides guidance to the committee members for implementing the EVN and EPTDO short and long term plans and objectives. He also leads communication & interaction with all national and international partners and donors. In addition, Mr. Achakzai has served as Climate Ambassador with International Youth Committee (IYC) from 16th October 2019 to 15th October 2020.


Abdulhadi Achakzai is graduated in English literature and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Public Administration from one of the renowned universities of Afghanistan. He also holds many diplomas in Management and other programs.


Mr. Achakzai has a successful career, spanning over 12 years of extensive experience with the government of Afghanistan (NEPA and DABS) and international organizations (ICRC, USAID, GIZ-IS, UNDP projects and etc.). Mr. Achakzai’s working experience is in the field of strategic communication, management, monitoring, controlling and leadership.
