Report – EPTDO Organization Head – Mr. Abdulhadi Achakzai participation at COP28 report
The Environmental Protection Trainings and Development Organization (EPTDO) has been an admitted NGO to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). This accreditation marks EPTDO as an eligible organization able to attend all conferences related to the Paris Agreement and Kyoto Protocol. Meanwhile, EPTDO is the only organization from Afghanistan that has obtained UNFCCC accreditation. As an accredited NGO, Mr. Abdulhadi Achakzai founder and CEO of the EPTDO virtually attended COP28 conference in December 2023. Please read more in the report
EPTDO is currently undertaking pre-preparations to coordinate and engage all stakeholders in Afghanistan, including UN agencies, international organizations, INGOs, national level organizations (NNGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), lecturers/professors, youths, women groups, and climate change-affected communities across the country. Our aim is to ensure proper coordination with all relevant parties and ensure that their voices are heard at the upcoming COP28 conference. We believe that it is crucial to engage with all stakeholders to promote a collective effort towards addressing the pressing issue of climate change.
