EPTDO-EVN's core objective is to establish partnerships with national and international organizations to co-create actions for fighting climate change hazards and to put an end to the devastating impacts of climate change in the region and in Afghanistan. We are proud to have registered 35 Civil Society Organizations CSOs in Afghanistan as volunteer members to help EPTDO-EVN better focus on environmental and climate change related issues. All partnered CSOs are also voluntarily collaborating with other EPTDO/EVN volunteer members in different regions of the country and contributing to a healthier and sustainable protected environment.
In addition, EPTDO has established an NGO consortium with 32 local and national NGOs currently registered and working with EPTDO-EVN in a healthy and sustainable protected environment.
Support EPTDO in its efforts to address environmental and climate change issues both nationally and globally. As an accredited partner, EPTDO is able to participate in international discussions and decision-making processes related to climate change and environmental policies.
EPTDO-EVN has been accredited/admitted by United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Aim of this accreditation is to invite EPTDO-EVN to all attends all international climate change conferences such as the Conference of the Parties (COP) and Subsidiary Bodies (SBIs).
EPTDO is also accredited with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the EPTDO is a granted observer in the UNEA of the UNEP. Through its partnership with UNEP, EPTDO is granted [observer status in the [United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA), which is the highest-level decision-making body on environmental issues. This status allows EPTDO to participate in UNEA meetings and contribute to discussions on global environmental policies and actions.

EPTDO/EVN has partnered with tUrn Climate Crisis Awareness & Action Project centered in Santa Clara University, California, U.S., since July 2021 to co-create climate action weeks each October and April. Members of both organizations have been collaborating on how to deliver the best educational and advocacy campaigns to help reach more people who want to “lean in” to the climate crisis and work on social, economic, environmental solutions to drawdown global warming. tUrn has global weeks in which EPTDO-EVN is organizing tUrn international weeks in Afghanistan since October 2021.

In addition to having registered with NEPA (National Environmental Protection Agency) as a Civil Society Association, EVN/EPTDO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) (Implementer Partnership IP) with NEPA on 24 May, 2021. The National Environmental Protection Agency was established in 2005 by the government of Afghanistan as an independent national institution. NEPA serves as Afghanistan’s environmental policy making and regulatory institution. The aim of the collaborative agreement was to work together to realize NEPA-specific goals and achievements.
