tUrn6 week throughout Afghanistan from 18 – 23 April, 2022
Environmental Volunteer Network (EVN) conducted several events, trainings and campaigns in Kabul Afghanistan. Main purpose of these activities were to organize and represent tUrn-6 international week in Afghanistan. Through this international week EPTDO-EVN provided public raise awareness to students from different private and governmental universities, schools and other academic institutes. Main subjects during these events were about environment, climate change, air pollution, sanitation and to take actions for eliminating environmental effects, identify risks and take actions. These activities focused extensively on students and directly engaged thousands of students and civil society activists.
Main activities conducted during tUrn international week in Afghanistan were:
Environment and living academic session.
Environment and Living session conducted for about 300+ undergraduate male and female students of Bakhtar University different faculties and senior students of Bakhtar Private School. Duration of the session was for 6 hours, one day.
A wide variety of subjects which was covered includes:
- EVN introduction
- What is environment?
- What is climate change?
- What are our responsibilities for protecting our environment?
- What are the effects of garbage’s and wastes that we throw everywhere which produce different diseases?
- What are the benefits of greenery and how to establish it?
Water and Environment session.
Water and Environmental session was conducted for 200+ students from different schools in different areas of Kabul city. Duration of the session was for 3 hours, one day.
A wide variety of subjects which was covered includes:
- EVN and tUrn project introduction.
- What is environment and water?
- How to protect water?
- What are our responsibilities for protecting our environment and water?
Environmental Trainings for 700+ male and female students
Environmental training and public awareness session was conducted for 200+ male and female students. The participated students were from different universities, schools and institutes who were learning English and Computer at Myvision Academic Center. Duration of the session was for 8 hours. This session featured by a class-to-class events that the students were coached by the environmental experts in their own classes. EVN environmental experts delivered the messages in how to protect the environment and how to establish greeneries in Kabul and other provinces of the country.

Environmental awareness session for the Kabul Medical undergraduate students.
This session featured Environment and Health awareness for 100+ female undergraduate students at Kabul Medical University. Main topics of the session were the threats and risks of Kabul Indoor and Outdoor air quality, quality of underground water, sanitation and other environmental problems that create diseases for human being. This session was also a class-to-class coaches by the EVN members who are currently pursuing their graduated degrees in medical. Duration of the session was for 6 hours one day.
Environmental training for Hazrat Khatam Private High School students.
Action for Environmental protection event in Kabul University
This session featured short environmental messages which was delivered by the EVN members on papers, and they went class to class. The EVN members provided short messages to the attendees about what is environment and what are our responsivities to keep it. The EVN members also conducted a campaign and distributed papers on the classes which have a clear message of Environmental Protection.
